The India-EU Digital Cooperation Conference 2026 is taking place on 2–3 November 2026 at South Asian University in New Delhi.
The conference will provide a platform for strengthening cooperation between India and the European Union in digital technologies, innovation and digital policy, bringing together experts from research, government, academia and industry.
The conference will explore opportunities to deepen collaboration between India and the European Union in the development, deployment and governance of emerging digital technologies.
The conference supports discussions related to the EU-India Trade and Technology Council, particularly Working Group 1 on Strategic Technologies, Digital Governance and Digital Connectivity, while also placing India-EU cooperation within the broader context of the EU’s engagement with countries across the Indo-Pacific region.
Participants will have an opportunity to exchange perspectives on emerging technological developments, regulatory approaches, research collaboration and pathways for taking innovative technologies from research to wider application.
Research and innovation cooperation through Horizon Europe
The conference will also highlight opportunities for international research and innovation cooperation through Horizon Europe, the European Union’s research and innovation funding programme.
Horizon Europe supports activities ranging from researcher mobility and staff exchanges to collaborative research and large-scale innovation projects bringing together universities, research organisations, companies, end-users and other stakeholders.
The conference will provide a forum to discuss potential cooperation under relevant Horizon Europe calls for 2027, as well as opportunities connected with the next phase of European research and innovation programming beginning in 2028.
