Marvel Studios electrified San Diego Comic-Con by unveiling the British actor stepping into the Black Panther mantle for Ryan Coogler‘s third installment. The reveal, staged with a cinematic teaser and a live orchestra, drew one of the loudest ovations Hall H has seen in years.
The announcement kicks off Marvel’s Phase 7 storytelling arc, with the new Panther positioned as a franchise cornerstone. Coogler confirmed the film will lean deeper into Wakandan mythology and expand the Afrofuturist world Chadwick Boseman helped define.
